  I have some silver pieces from Harley Davidson, made by a different company tho, just the silver has "Worn off" sorta and is Rosy Pink! 😨 I've polished my heiney off with a solver cloth to no avail. I gave upward. I'm and then bummed considering I have a necklace And a bracelet, and they both look rather unfortunate right at present & reside in a handbag in my jewelry box. In that location'due south also Swarovski crystals inlaid in the letters on it that spell "Harley" so I'm reluctant to put it in any silvery cleaning solution because it's not suitable for stones, precious & semi-precious similar Onyx for ane. Hello. I use a polishing textile made for jewelry. It will take all of the tarnish right off.

I make my own cleaner. I mix one tablespoon of each: salt, blistering soda and dish detergent. Yous volition also need a cup of water and a small-scale slice of aluminum foil. Heat the h2o in the microwave for 1 - 2 minutes. Identify the foil in the bottom of a cereal bowl. Put the salt, b soda and dish soap in the bowl on height of foil. Then cascade the hot water in and mix. Put the jewelry in and let it gear up for five or 10 mins. Then rinse in cool water and dry out with a soft cloth. Discard the solution and the job is done.

I put foil in a shallow dish put jewelry in and cover with plane white vinegar for about 5 minutes, rince ,dry, washed.

Glad the toothpaste worked. I had no doubt it would.

I sell a lot of argent on Ebay. Jewelry, silverware, serving sets. Silver smoothen and dips tend to remove some of the metal. The foil method doesn't piece of work that great and still leaves a gray flick that withal needs to exist removed AND it also removes some of the metal. I utilize white toothpaste (not gel)and a damp toothbrush. For big items I use a damp fabric. Also works on copper, brass, gold, porcelain, ceramics, sneakers, plastics, etc. For my sales I needed one product for cleaning everything.

Are you sure they are sterling? I would accept it to a good named jeweler and encounter if peradventure information technology is not pure sterling. I have never heard of sterling turning pink. Could it be silver plate and information technology is wearing off? Perhaps the pinkish tint is the underlying metal coming through.

  Your right. I take a lot of sterling jewlery. And yep it does tarnish. I tried a lot of the suggestions and nearly of them worked on the sterling. But not the foil.

• I have never used the foil way. I was told that it was difficult on the silver if yous used that method very much. I also would non want to endanger any stones or silver plate using that method. I spent years of my childhood cleaning my moms silver with the silver paste. The toothpaste is but equally messy, but at least it cleans upwards easier and doesn't exit my fingers looking so bad.

I agree the jewelry fabric is the best. I have also used Tarn 10. You can also buy ultra sonic cleaner which works well as well.

Purchase a cloth made for silver. Works for me.

I had a jeweler tell me to use fluoride toothpaste and a tooth brush. Thats all I have used for 30 years it works bang-up. I accept the same problem even with sterling silvery.
